Summer Camp at Miami Children's Museum is an experience that promises to evoke creativity in all children. We teach children different educational aspects, through food, art, music, dance and performance, language, literacy, geography and games. We are committed to providing opportunities for discovery and experiential learning that fit with the evolving needs of our community through thematic weeks that include Daring Detectives, Sprouting Farmers, and Through the Decades. Our campers will embark on an educational experience that will spark their love for learning.

Explorers Camp 2023

June 12th-August 4th

Camp Fee: $325 per week for Non-Members $292.50 per week for Members

Hours: 9 am to 3 pm

Before Care: available at 8am for an and additional charge of $25 per week

After Care: available until 6pm for an additional charge of $60 per week.

Ages: PreK4 - 5th grade

Explorers camp includes:

Weekly activities include a field trip, art, music, dance, geography, games, sports and more!

Lunch will be provided daily at no extra cost by our Subway restaurant. Each morning campers will choose from a menu created with kid friendly favorites and fresh healthy choices which will be delivered to their classroom at lunch time. In addition to the lunch provided, we ask that you also pack 2 small snacks from home. If your child has special dietary needs that Subway cannot accommodate, please do send them with a lunch from home.

Week 1: Daring Detectives

Gather your spy gear and gadgets as you embark on a week full of scavenger hunts, hidden treasures, and puzzling games! Discover how detectives solve mysteries and then become a master at solving them on your own.

Week 2: Sprouting Farmers

Let's get to the root of organic farming! Master the art of growing your own food, discover the importance of local farms, and organize your very own farmer’s market. This camp will have you sprouting with new ideas for sustainable living.

Week 3: Through the Decades

Travel back in time as you discover the wonders of previous decades! Get a glimpse at what life was like in the 50's, 70's, and 90's as you learn about the eclectic fashion, groovy music, and cutting-edge technology of the past.

Week 4: Messy Week

You're invited to the messiest week of summer! Experiment with oozy crafts, finger paint a masterpiece, or dive into a sea of bubbles.

Week 5: Game Time

On your mark, get set, GO! Brace yourself for a week full of gaming as you re-discover classic arcade games, uncover the evolution of video games, and design your own game.

Week 6: Music Makers

Marvel at the sound of music as you discover the different sounds that exist across the globe! Learn about influential musicians, explore the art of music making, and compose your own songs.

Week 7: STEAM Scouts

Grab your lab coats and beakers as you plunge your way into a week full of exhilarating experiments that will spark your inner scientist. This camp will have you STEAM-ing with new knowledge and love for all things science and art.

Week 8: Wildlife Explorers

Journey into the rainforests and jungles across the globe as you explore the wildlife that inhabit these amazing locations. Earn your wildlife explorer badges throughout the week as you learn about and discover the breathtaking animals that call these places home.

In accordance with current CDC and Miami Dade county guidelines, masks are optional for visitors and staff at the Museum starting March 12th, 2022. We support individual choice regarding masks and ask for respectful engagement with others while enjoying a day of play at the Museum. We will continue to follow all health and safety guidelines from the County and CDC.
